Get back to joy and reclaim your power

Updated: Feb 11, 2021

When you’re faced with a tough decision, how do you decide whether to go left or right? The paths we choose are often shaped by our relationships. When we are not grounded in our self-awareness and clear about what we want, we become distracted by our desire to please others. We give up our power to follow the opinions of our parents, spouses and friends because we believe they know what’s best for us. We give more and more of ourselves to help others achieve their goals, and in the process, put our own dreams on hold.

If this sounds like you, perhaps you’ve woken up exhausted, unsatisfied, and feeling like the life you’re living is not your own. You’re unhappy with the direction you’re going and feel you’ve lost yourself along the way.

No matter where you are in your life, your dreams are still within reach. By living your purpose, you can find fulfillment and get back to the excitement you once had.

Your fulfillment is tied to your purpose

God created you for a purpose and that purpose is in you. No one else can tell you what your purpose is. We are spiritual beings with intuition that assists us along our path by guiding us in the direction we should go. Intuition alerts us to the changes we need to make to stay on our paths. Strengthen your intuition by decluttering your space mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

When joy is missing, you’re out of alignment

When your spirit is grounded in your purpose, you experience peace. There is a profound clarity that radiates, and you feel rested. This joy allows you to overcome challenges without feeling overwhelmed and gives you the strength to act on your intuition. When you’re out of alignment with your purpose and don’t feel joy, you'll veer off into the wrong direction.

Get back on track

Until you’re ready to put forth action and do the work, you’ll remain stuck and unfulfilled. Follow the path to self-awareness and reclaim your power.

The path back to you

  1. Decide to follow your intuition and make a change.

  2. Begin the work toward self-awareness.

  3. Do something different by changing your mindset.

  4. Work never stops because you keep evolving.

  5. Grow from your mistakes and allow yourself grace through the process.

  6. Become the manifestation of who you want to be through faith.

No one can do the work for you, but it helps to surround yourself with a community that holds you accountable. That’s why I created the Life by Design Network, a community of women who are on this path toward healing together. I hope you will join us as we continue to work on our mindsets, pursue our purpose and build lives we love.
